Who can stay?

This opportunity is for active foster families with an open license and for adoptive families with their adopted child(ren) still living in the home.

How much does it cost?

Every family that comes will stay for free.

If you’d like to donate to help make this happen please go here.

Do I have to be from Michigan?

NO! You can register from anywhere. You just have to be willing to drive to Michigan if your name is selected from the lottery. So far, we have had families register from 24 states + Canada.

Currently our 4 Give Hope RVs are in Michigan. We are working with campgrounds in Michigan, Ohio and Illinois as a part of our Affiliate Camping program.

What if I have my own camper?

We have an opportunity for you too!! We have developed an Affiliate Camping Program for foster and adoptive families that already have a tent, pop-up or RV.

How does this work?

From January 1-March 1 foster and adoptive families can register online for a chance to stay at one of our four RV locations or for a stay at one of our Affiliate Campgrounds.

Mid-March our board will gather and randomize the list of names that have been collected during these months.

Once that list is randomized, I start at the top of the list and begin emailing, in batches of 25, families of their acceptance. Families then have 48 hours to select a location and a date. I will continue to do that same process until all dates are filled.

Why aren’t pets allowed?

On average we have 200-240 people utilizing each RV location each season. Our RVs are getting a tremendous amount of wear and tear and pets add to that wear tremendously.

Additionally, many families have members that are allergic to all the things that pets bring. In an effort to make our spaces and their time enjoyable the Board has concluded that pets are not allowed.

If you have a registered service animal and can provide proof of service, they are welcomed.

Why No Smoking/Vaping?

For many of our families that stay with us at the Give Hope RV it is of great health concern for their children to be around smoke exposure.

Additionally, RV duct work is not like a home. The duct work is soft and cannot be easily cleaned. In most cases it needs to be completely redone.

If you have been found to smoke/vape in, at or around any of our RVs there will be a minimum of a $500 fine.
